I began working in the field of Behavioral Health in 1981. Since then, I have broadened my experience with Substance Abuse, Recovery Community Housing management. I am also experienced with supervisory skills that include clinical supervisions, clinical evaluations, and clinical trainings of staff. I have strong written and oral skills, excellent organization skills, computer literacy in Word, Excel Spreadsheets, Vista and PowerPoints. I am knowledgeable and competent in the 12 Core Functions, ASAM Placement criteria, patient/resident/ client motivational interviewing, multidisciplinary team player, familiar and adhere to IAODAPCA/IBC/ADACBGA Confidentiality and Code of Ethics along with HIPPA rules and guidelines. Maintains a caseload of 10-14 patients with addictive disorders. Engaged in treatment planning following a medically monitored detoxification for stabilization to engage in daily treatment. Facilitated groups daily by providing addiction education also facilitated family therapy sessions with a therapeutic alliance. Case management duties also included corresponding with referring agencies daily interactions with assigned physicians and psychiatrists. I also engaged in multidisciplinary team meetings twice daily. One per week provided an addiction education lecture to patients in auditorium.

Women’s Transitional Housing Manager 2/2011- 7/2012
As program manager of a women’s transitional housing program, I was responsible for the day to day management of all elves of operations. Also provided direct supervision to staff, scheduling, and annual performance appraisals of all residential staff members to ensure that assigned staff were provided education and training suitable for direct care treatment, case management services, educational and other rehabilitative services . Managed budget to accommodate housing necessities.

Developed individualized treatment plans from assessments, located community resources to accommodate the needs of substance abusing women with maladaptive behaviors and criminal justice issues. Assisted in the placement of continued care purposes, case management of 15-20 women, represented agency in the Cook County Jail and in court for mandating to program, collaborated with state officials including DCFS, probation and Parole officers. Mandating lasted 6-18 months.
