Technical Writer: FAA ANM-114 Aircraft Certification Service, Transport Airplane Directorate – September 2015 to present. Pay plan FV Grade H. Write, process and track Airworthiness Directives for large transport category airplanes.
Technical Publications Engineer and Managing Supervisor: Employed by The Boeing Company from June 26, 1984, through June 30, 2015.
Associate Technical Fellow with expertise in structural repair processes, including advanced composites. >15 years of experience in researching, analyzing, and documenting instructions for repair and maintenance procedures for Boeing Commercial Structural Repair Manuals.
As a manager supervisor, I was responsible for 25 employees. I managed headcount and project budgets. I developed a business case that was approved, for certifying airplanes in California in addition to Washington. Developed a business case that was approved, for consolidating common parts of structural repair manuals into a single manual.
I have given presentations (in PowerPoint) to 11 airlines, 4 maintenance, repair and operations (MROs) facilities, Airlines for America (A4A), International Air Transport Association (IATA), SAE Aerospace, Suppliers of Advanced Composite Materials Association (SACMA), and the European Trade Association of the Advanced Composite Materials Suppliers (ETAC), in 12 different countries including the U.S. and Canada. Some countries I have visited multiple times; and some airlines, MROs, and professional organizations I have visited multiple times. Presentations range from structural repair techniques to qualification of advanced composite and bulk materials.

Deployed to Kuwait-Iraq Theater of Operations as I Marine Expeditionary Force G-4 (Logistics) staff officer. Assignment: Information Management Officer. Member of planning staff for moving troops and equipment to Kuwait. Researched and documented new procedures for mobilizing and deployment of reserve marines and their unit equipment (1999-2002). These procedures were implemented after 9/11.
