Description :
The main aim of this project is to try and synthesize a geopolymer mix that is able to behave similar to if not better than a regular concrete mixes. For this purpose we have decided to use metakaolin as it is capable of maintaining high compression strength and also behaves in a similar fashion to that of regular cement.
The scope of light weight geopolymer concretes is immense and the applications of the metakaolin based porous geopolymer concretes could be immense.
