Worked on Part Design and drafting of various welding fixtures and small components called millers on Auto Cad, CATIA and Solid Edge.

Was a part of the team creating the documentation work required for the certification of TUV ISO 9001:2008 norm..

Did thorough inspection of the checking fixtures and other welding fixtures so as to reduce the rejection rate.

Supervised the work on Haas VMC, M1TR, Jig Boring machine, Lathe Machine, Milling Machine.

SANDVIK ASIA PVT LTD (AUG 01,2014 to May 29,2015)

Post: TRAINEE ENGINEER.

Description:

The project was to develop a fixture for a 5 axis VMC machine (STAMA-531) for manufacturing of a component called clamp. During this project we have gone through the various parameters like material selection, machining processes, detail drawing of assembly and parts by using CAD software (Catia), quality control. During this we have also gone through the standard part selection method. For this purpose we referred Sandvik Journals.

Our aim was to reduce the non-productive time and improve the utilisation of machine by considering machine features such as Gantry feed, bar feeder, indexing. We developed a fixture that that can machine 4 components at a time thus reducing the fatigue to the operator and killing the non-productive time by utilising the indexing feature of the machine.
