DETAILED EXPERIENCE:
Burns & McDonnell - Piping Designer – February 2014 to July 2016 Designed pipe using PDS in the product storage area (OSBL) at a refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Designed piping systems for a crude oil heater in Billings, Montana. LFM was used to model existing pipe for new tie points in the field and SmartPlant Review was used to review the model. Jacobs - Piping Designer – September 2013 to February 2014 Designed pipe using PDS in the waste water treatment area at a refinery in Whiting, Indiana. SmartPlant Review was used to review the model and LFM was used to tie into existing piping. Spectra Energy - Piping Designer - February 2009 to September 2013 Created special operational drawings for pipelines, compressor stations, metering stations and regulating stations using MicroStation. Visited pipeline facilities such as compressor stations and meter stations, in order to revise as-built drawings for station operations and DOT compliance. Trained drafters with proper drafting techniques based on company and industry standards. Technip - Piping Designer - March 2008 to February 2009 Designed and modeled pipe using PDS in several areas of a new saturated gas unit in a refinery. Several areas were multilevel structure modules constructed off site for cost purposes. SmartPlant Review was used to check additions and changes in the model. Resolved problems with piping isometrics that would not generate automatically using ISOGEN. Fluor - Piping Designer - November 2006 to March 2008 Modeled and designed pipe using PDS in several areas of a hydro treater unit and a crude unit at two refineries that used off site modular construction for the structures that contained exchangers, drums and pumps. Resolved clash reports and model integrity problems with piping. SmartPlant Review was used to view changes in the model.
Valero LP - Piping Designer - March 2003 to November 2006 Designed pipe for new piping systems at multiple pipeline pump stations and storage terminals across the United States. Modeled pipe and in order to create piping drawings using CADWorx and created P&IDs using CADWorx P&ID.
Dow Chemical - Piping Designer - June 1995 to September 2002 Laid out and arranged pipe, vessels, towers, tanks, pumps, pipe racks and structures in chemical plants while working in the front end engineering and design group (FEED / FEL). Designed pipe and modeled equipment using a 3D CAD program called PASCE. Worked on multiple projects routing and designing new piping systems.
Nautilus Engineering - Piping Designer - July 1994 to June 1995 Designed pipe for a new long distance natural gas pipeline system with multiple compressor stations using AutoCAD.
John Brown - Piping Designer - September 1993 to July 1994 Designed pipe on a semi-submersible offshore drilling platform that was being revamped for the Chinese government using AutoCAD.
Litwin - Piping Designer - March 1992 to September 1993 Designed pipe for a new sulfur recovery unit and a new MTBE reformulated gasoline project. Modeled pipe and equipment using a 3D CAD program called PASCE. Williams Brothers - Piping Draftsman - March 1991 to March 1992 Designed pipe for several tank farms and gasoline loading terminals using AutoCAD. Morris + Assoc. Engineering - Piping Draftsman - November 1990 to March 1991 Designed pipe for several pipeline gasoline storage terminals in order to move piping that was underground to above ground using AutoCAD and Pro-Iso. Eagleton Engineering - Piping Draftsman - November 1989 to November 1990 Designed pipe for various pipeline services such as launchers, receivers, meters, separators and storage facilities using manual drafting.
Brown & Root - Piping Draftsman - August 1987 to November 1989 Created and revised drawings for expansion work at the Nakoosa paper mill. Assisted with the gathering of information from the field regarding equipment location, dimensions and elevations for the design of new piping. Manually drafted on the drafting board plans, isometrics and sections.
