OBJECTIVE: Maintenance Mechanic or Technician position maintaining CNC, electronic, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, electro-

mechanical, and mechanical equipment. This also includes material handling equipment (forklifts, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

10 years experience on a variety of CNC equipment. Brands worked on include Amada, Mazak, DMG/Deckel Maho, Hurco, Haas, Sharp, Bridgeport, Di-Arco, Tennsmith, Mori Seiki, Churchill, Dufour, Salvagnini, Franklin, Trumpf, Cincinnati, Index, Doosan, and Leadwell. Various FANUC Control systems, and other obscure or out of business brands/manufacturers.

Trained as a technician and educated at a College Level (Military Schools equivalent to an Associates or Bachelor Degree) in Electronics. Skilled in logical troubleshooting and making repairs at or above OEM standards.

Instructed fellow technicians / mechanics in class room and on the job training for various employers.

Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and electronic systems. Capable of maintaining a variety of industrial equipment (working with various system voltages, pressures, and controls). Can troubleshoot to module or component level on equipment faults. Solves problems that baffle other technicians/mechanics.

12 years maintaining and troubleshooting PLCs and PLC controlled equipment (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff, and other A&B “Clone” PLCs). 20 including the CPU based forklift control systems.

Over ten years experience working on forklifts (mainly electric powered and electromechanical designs) and electric vehicles.

Eleven years in the U.S. Navy as an electronics technician, nuclear propulsion plant operation and maintenance. Various other duties: copier technician, surface mount solder, hydraulic repairs, material handling, and lifting equipment .

Dec. 12, 2016 – Dec. 30, 2016 General Dynamics OTS ( Site Tech Staffing inc. ) : Contract to hire position maintaining production equipment; primarily CNC and PLC controlled equipment.

Sept. 7, 2015 – November 11, 2016 Weatherford International: Maintain and Repair CNC Equipment (Mazak and Leadwell), Goff Shotbalst, Surface Furnaces, Inductoheat, and Automated equipment (Allen Bradley PLC) including FANUC Robots.

Highlights: Assisted with new equipment installation, Rotary Actuator repair / replacement, Chuck rebuilding. Troubleshooting issues caused by wiring modifications to Leadwells by machine dealer.

March 23, 2015 - Sept. 4, 2015 JTEKT: Maintain and Repair CNC Equipment (Kitimura, Mori Seiki, NTC, Fuji, etc), PLC based manufacturing equipment.

Highlights: Drawbar replacements, using Logic Ladders to troubleshoot and repair equipment, suggesting and implementing repairs to increase equipment reliability.

Nov. 5, 2012 - Feb. 26, 2015 Victor Technologies : Maintain and Repair CNC Equipment (Mori Seiki, Wasino, Tsugami, Hardinge, Index, Traub), Laser Marking Systems, and Various PLC controlled Testing Equipment.

Highlights: Reduced repair costs of equipment finding alternative sources of parts, even working with a Vendor to make a $1000.00

part for $85.00.

Significantly reduced use of outside technicians for repairs.

Assisted in installing equipment and options / upgrades to mechanical and electronic control systems.

Troubleshot and repaired electronic laser marker.

April 18 - Nov. 2, 2012 PIN Inc. (Professional Installation Networks): Maintain and Repair CNC Equipment ( Homag, Weeke, Koch), Vacuum Pump Systems, Trash Auger.

Highlights: Repaired a PLC at the circuit board component level and installed a different motor drive to repair a conveying cart. There were no schematics or manufacturer manuals.

Troubleshot and repaired electronic controls on a trash auger (similar to a trash shredder and compactor)

Troubleshot 3 phase electrical distribution system to eliminate high amperage surges. Developed a system to measure fall of potential values

for effective machine grounding

March 19 - March 30, 2012 D.W. Distributors: Maintain and Repair forklifts, curtain and solid wall trailers (establish trailer repair cart).

Highlights: Troubleshot a motor control problem to an electronic assembly, assisting another Technician in making the right repair the first time.

Jan. 24, 2011 - Feb, 7, 2012 JC Penney : Maintain regular and specialized PC/PLC conveyor systems, forklifts, personnel lifts, batteries and chargers.

Highlights: Cloned a PLC with only a hand held terminal (normally done with a laptop PC) keeping a main sortation conveyor (and the Distribution Center) operating. Proper equipment was not available, I had to improvise with what was on Site.

Replaced, configured, and tested variable frequency drives.

Rebuilt various material handling equipment lift linkages, steering, and repaired electrical wiring to OEM condition.

Sept. 2 - Oct. 13, 2010 Atlas Copco (ProStaff ): Temporary Worker Maintained and Repair CNC Equipment.

June 6, 2010 - Aug. 2010 Stanley Mechanics Tools (Ram Global Services): Temporary Worker Maintained and Repair CNC Equipment.

Highlights: Troubleshot and repaired electronic induction heating equipment brought form Ohio Plant.

July 9, 2007 - April 26, 2010 Lockheed Martin Aero: Maintain CNC and Manual equipment including lathes, shears, brakes, lasers, and lifting equipment.

Highlights: Rebuilt X and Z Axes on an old and obsolete Dufour manual electric mill.

Nov 21, 2005 - July 6, 2007 Siemens SEA (Comforce - started as temporary, hired permanently): Maintain and repair CNC, PLC, and Manual metal punching and forming equipment.

Highlights: Troubleshot and repaired a hydraulic problem other technicians could not find.

Located a shorted cable shutting down a CNC metal stamping machine in 2 hours, the dealer's method would have taken over a couple shifts.

Maintained and repaired stamps and dies for CNC metal stamping equipment, Same operating mechanism as shredders and shears, but higher precision.
