Maintenance Supervisor for the Florida region, 2015 to 2016

As the Maintenance Manager in Florida I was responsible to keep a fleet of 131 tractors and 141 trailers in 4 locations with a total of 16 mechanics that keep the shop manned 7 days a week 24 hrs. a day. Our tractors were all powered by ISX12G’s fueled by C.N.G... By running C.N.G. we had to do services every 20,000 miles, spark plugs and overheads every 60,000 miles. This is a very demanding and fast paced region. Our fleet runs a total of 1.4 million miles every month. My ability to manage in a high stress situations is a trait that is tasked every day in this position. As in my previous positions I am responsible to maintain a very safety conscious staff that has never had an injury to date. I am also responsible to insure that we keep Out Of Service list daily for our corporate. All hiring for maintenance is done at my position including all interviews and H.R. paperwork. I lead by example and maintain a tool box to gain the respect of my team. I have to stay in constant contact with my shop foreman and all venders we utilize. As the service manager I am responsible for insuring that all jobs come in and out of the shop in a timely fashion and have all the paperwork completed whether it is ASME or Dot, I insure that all our technicians stay current with all the constantly changing regulations from ASME and DOT. I am responsible for keeping up with our welder’s continuity log and insuring that all the proper training and paperwork is kept up to date. I go over all incoming jobs with our shop foreman and inspect all outgoing jobs for defects and to make sure that all work is done up to the high standard that I keep.

I am responsible to do job estimates and make sure that jobs stay as close to the estimate as possible. I stay in constant contact with customers to insure that any questions that they may have get answered and make sure that they know what the status of their equipment is while it is at our facility. I was hired in as the head of maintenance to get a fleet of thirteen tractors and tanker trailers back into good working order and to get the shop tooled up to do most work in house. After a year the shop had worked off all of the defects that I had documented on all of our units. I then maintained inventory of our parts room and kept units maintained on a regular schedule.

As the shop foreman it was my responsibility to insure all jobs that were given to the shop were done quickly and efficiently I ensured that every job was done to the high standard that I keep. At the completion of jobs I ensured that all parts were entered onto the job sheets and paperwork was completed. My position also required me to insure ASME jobs were done correctly.

While being in the United States Army I maintained the highest standard of being a soldier as possible. I received four promotions and attended PLDC Primary Leadership Development Class. I achieved an expert rating at tank weapons, rifle and pistol.

• Grew the service department revenue by 15% while having 40% of our team as inexperience help from a staffing agency that never worked in this field.

• Completed classes are as follows, Cummins L-10, Cummins electronics, Cummins 855, Detroit DDEC School, Detroit 2 stroke engine school, Detroit series 60 school and Introduction to C.N.G.

I also completed courses at I.C.S. for an automotive repair degree.

I completed H.M.183 and 213 classes and am a registered inspector on pressure vessels.

I have held an ASME certification to weld on pressure vessels.

• I have a CDL driver’s license that I shelved for a class D.
