Field Service Technician Senior Mechanic/ Administration/Billing Dept.

Go out to the field onsite service, supervise (site supervisor) over 7 engineers on the operation create a job task, have toolbox talk, JSA, and plan of execution with a timely and safely manner. Coordinate with customer and update as needed on the operation and what needs to be done.

Repair any damaged or faulty drilling equipment on drilling platforms ex. Jack up’s, Semi-Submersible, Drilling ships.

Work with measuring tools ex. Feeler gauge, depth mic., ID mic., Dial Indicator, Caliper, megger, etc.

Perform yearly inspections on all equipment

Troubleshoot, repair and perform upgrades on NOV drilling equipment (Drawworks, mud pumps, Brake systems, Top Drive, Rotary Tables, Hex Pump, drill floor equipment.

Travel overseas for Installation and commissioning (I&C), of drilling equipment. ex; Mud Pumps, Draw works, ST-80’s, Hex Pumps, Top Drives, drill floor equipment overall.

Have experience with working on PLC screens and operation/running machines from them. Worked with ABB Drives for the motors. Set parameters to (Hex pump NOV) specs.

Perform administrative duties, checks and balances, deal with vendors, customers, and engineering personnel to complete billable/warranty jobs. Work with company programs such as, Word, Excel, Power Point, spread sheets, Glovia, Rig Doc, Tracker, and other inner company programs.

April 07- Present National Oil Well Varco (NOV) FM529 Facility

Lead man/ Senior Mechanic

Assemble Hex and triplex mud pumps from start to finish

Including all wiring and testing

Mastered Hex pump which consists of top lid assembly, drive assembly, fluid end assembly, bottom support assembly, retrofit, partition wall upgrades, discharge manifold assembly, cam lubrication plumbing, liner wash plumbing, wiring and testing it for the factory acceptance test (F.A.T).

Mastered triplex pump that also consist of crossheads, slides, fluid end assembly, crank assembly, pinion assembly pulsation dampener installation, motor alignment, also belt and chain driven triplex pump that are mastered.

Assemble auxiliary skids that are part of the hex pump installation on rigs and it consists of various types of plumbing, hose crimping, check valve and gauge panel installations.

Assemble EDS Brakes from start to finish as well as hooks, traveling blocks, swivels, and rotary tables.

Lead man / Mechanic

Assemble mud pumps (446 H.P. to 3000 H.P.) Drawworks, rotary tables, top drives from start to finish.

Assemble crowns, swivels, hooks, traveling blocks, EDS brakes from start to finish.

Assemble Crankshafts from start to finish including heating up bearings to the required temperature and type of assembly.

Performed stainless steel tube bending, internal and external plumbing.

Maneuver and handle caliper, depth gage, feeler gage, and laser alignment tools.

Manage and train a group of seven people to perfection so quality as well as safety and production will be delivered on time.

Oversee the entire project, piece by piece so that quality and perfection is up to expectations.

Assemble air and hydraulic control panels from start to finish for the drawworks control system.

Read and elaborate on blueprints and schematics.

Upgrade and modify projects as necessary when approved by supervisor.

Operate heavy machinery as well as overhead cranes, forklifts, including the 360 series, man lifts, and risers.
