Nicor Gas Company was the nation’s fifth largest natural gas distribution company. Tropical Shipping is one of the largest containerized cargo carriers in the Caribbean. Other subsidiaries of Nicor Inc. included a wide array of wholesale commodity marketing and trading and retail energy commodity and warranty service companies.
