EXPERIENCE
2015 to 9/2016: Quality Manager at A&A Machine Co. Inc., Feasterville, PA
In the past year, I have created a professional quality system from the ground up and received I.S.O certification on our first attempt while completing the other daily activities such as first pc, in process, and final inspection. Further, I implemented Discus First article inspection software to make ballooning drawings and AS9102 First Article Inspections easier, more accurate, and more professional. The software alone cut F.A.I. time by more that 45 percent. I am sole member of the quality team in a company of about 30 employees. PCDMIS programming and operating are part of my daily routine, along with mechanical inspections on the surface plate. I am the only calibrator in the shop. I have extensive background in auditing internal and external to both ISO 9000 and AS9100.
March 2014 to March 2015: Quality Engineer at Folsom Machine Co., Aston, PA
I was a mechanical inspector with Folsom Machine for ten months. My main tasks were daily first pc inspections, CMM programing and operation, writing AS9102 F.A.I’s. I instituted the gagetrac instrument calibration system and was responsible for the calibrations in my facility, as well as final inspections to a qualified AQL. I was also the lead internal auditor for all three buildings.
March 2012 to March 2014: Quality Inspector at A&A Machine Co. Inc., Feasterville, PA
My responsibilities included but were not limited to day to day quality operations, first pc, in process, and final inspection of machined parts. As AS9100 coordinator I was directly responsible for writing the quality management system along with all procedures and work instructions. I developed the nonconformance system along with corrective and preventive action systems. As CMM operator and CMM programmer, quality planning, including p.o. review for customers quality requirements, creating first article inspection and in process inspection reports were some of my daily duties. Head of document control and internal auditor are just a few of the hats I wore during my initial time here. I scheduled and ran management review meetings per ISO900 and AS9100 for calibrating of inspection equipment. Receiving inspection of raw material and outside vendor manufactured parts; scheduling and directing customer source inspection; inventory control; and acting as head of the MRB team completed my role.
November 2011 to March 2012: Inspector at Hyundai of America, Philadelphia, PA
My responsibilities included inspection of all vehicles coming in and out of the port of Philadelphia for factory defects or transit damage; as well as the creation and maintenance of spreadsheets for the reporting of conformances.
April 2011 to August 2011: Head of Quality plastics div. at Pandrol USA, Swedesboro, NJ
I developed an entire quality system following ISO formatting which became the company standard globally. From the quality manual all the way down to the work instructions, along with the day to day qa inspections. My responsibilities included first pc inspections, receiving inspection, in process and final inspection, quality planning, Balloon Prints and inspection reports. I generated and signed off on Certificates of conformance as well as being a member or the MRB team.
August 2010 to December 2010: Acting Quality Manager at K Technology, Langhorn, PA
I was in charge of qualifying vendors, writing procedures, writing inspection reports, quality planning, day to day inspections from receiving, in process, and final including FAI reports per AS9100 and ISO guidelines. I developed close working relations with vendors and customers.
April 2008 to May 2010: Quality Inspector/Assistant Director of Safety at Brenner Aero structures, Bensalem, PA
I performed quality inspections of composite aircraft parts upon material receipt and during part construction; and executed final review of composite aircraft parts contracted by various customers, such as Boeing and NASA. I was responsible for the creation of FAI reports to ensure customer requirements and specifications were adhered to using PO, Blueprint, and Boeing/Military specs in an AS9100 and ISO controlled environment. I conducted internal auditing per AS9100. Performed first article inspection both internally and those requested by vendors. Developed and cataloged FAI reports per AS9100. Further, I scheduled and conducted source inspection operations with customer inspectors. I have skilled experience with various inspection tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, scales, comparators, automated and manual CMM’s, and eddy current thickness gauges.
March 2006 to April 2008: Laborer for D’Andrea Concrete, Philadelphia, PA
My duties included preparing built forms, pouring and spreading concrete, and equipment maintenance
April 1999 to March 2003: Production Control/Expediter at Brenner Tool and Die, Croydon, PA
I scheduled the flow of work orders from conception thru to delivery; followed job production through the shop from PO receipt to shipping; and coordinated the efforts of various departments from receiving, engineering, quality control, manufacturing, outside vendor operations, and shipping to meet deadlines set by the PO requirements. I frequently worked closely and created meaningful contacts with customers such as Boeing, Piper, Sikorsky, NASA, and the United States military. I was integral in coordinating with various departments from laborer to management in order to ensure timely delivery and a quality product.
