RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS

Failure analysis of two-flute end mill using ANSYS: (Under review by Journal of Advanced Mechanical Engineering)

Designed two-flute end mill in Solid-works.

Performed SEM analysis on a fractured end mill to analyze reasons behind fracture.

Elemental composition of the end mill was identified using latest features in SEM.

Performed Static Structural Analysis using ANSYS workbench.

Created design of experiments for measuring tool life of a two-flute end mill using various techniques like Central composite design, Optimal space filling design, Box-behnken design, sparse grid initialization, Latin hypercube design.

We modeled regression equations for all the design of experiments and hence identified the best model based on correlation coefficient (R2) using SPSS.

Modeling Tool Life of a Two Flute End Mill using Regression and ANN (In progress)

Taguchi design of experiments were designed in SPSS.

Measured tool life for DOE was estimated from ANSYS workbench.

Generated response surface for optimizing the design points using artificial neural networks (ANN) in ANSYS.

Simulated end milling process in ANSYS Explicit dynamics/AUTODYN for basic understanding of the process.

Modeled tool life prediction equations using regression and ANN techniques of ANSYS and SPSS. ACADEMIC COURSE WORK
