CAREER HISTORY

Over 20+ years of nursing, healthcare management, and management experience in diverse organizations including but no limited to: administration & personnel services, case management, human resources and marketing. Proven ability to successfully organize and develop various health care facilities. Recognized for ability to work with very diverse patients and staff. Exhibits outstanding skills in accessing situations, recommending and communicating sensible solutions, and effectively motivating staff in a collaborative implementation of policies and procedures. ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Management and Administration

Organized and developed repair and service facility for a mining division of family-owned business; while managing 25+ employees, all aspects of daily operations, marketing and direct customer sales, resulting in increased division sales, revenue and profits.

Developed, implemented, and evaluated various policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JACHO), International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

Oversaw the development of a new 64 bed wing specializing in sub-acute care as Director of Case Management and later as Director of Nursing.

Opened a new home health agency, within six to nine months became the highest agency with the most billable visits within the organization in Southwest Florida, performing approximately 2200-2500 visits/month. Training and Development

Assisted in development and implementation of numerous disease specific health teaching programs, resulting in increased awareness among staff and patients.

Developed various Medical Boards to include a variety of specialties.

Assisted in the development and implementation of neonatal training programs for staff and patient’s parents; resulting in increased infant survival and long-term health.

Assisted in implementation of community volunteer program for the neonatal unit - The Cuddler Program; in order to alleviate the staff and provide comfort to the patients.

Developed public health programs, emphasizing teaching across cultural barriers. Oversaw implementation; resulting in increased health awareness in remote Indian and Eskimo communities. Nursing

Retired Florida Nursing license in conjunction with joining our family-owned business. Completed Nurse Refresher course, CPR Certification and reactivated license May 2010.

Director of Nurses with Integrated Health Services; managing all aspects of a 150+ nursing staff, assisted with M.D. rounds, performed intake responsibilities and assessments for appropriate referrals to new home health agencies. Marketed local physicians for the development of a Medical Review Board.

Home Health Nurse responsible for numerous home health patients, with a variety of backgrounds and illnesses. Progressed from Field responsibilities to Marketing and then to Administrator.

Assistant Head Nurse in operations of Level II/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, by performing direct patient care, coordinated physician rounds, and responsible for scheduling and supervision of all staff.

Responsible for all realms of health care, in a remote community serving both Native American and Eskimos. In emergency capacity, responsible for detailed assessment of patients and air transfers from post, 10-acute care beds to major health care facilities.
