Reported to president of emergency response division; responsible for a 5-building assembly operation including cab painting, cab assembly, chassis assembly and cab/chassis integration
Hired as part of an operations turnaround team to help bring firm out of the “red”.
Introduced hoshin/business plan deployment; value stream mapping, visual management, 5S, layered audits, takt/andon and employee engagement team boards.
Visual boards and value stream map exposed major causes of delivery and profitability problems.
Designed plant consolidation plan to reduce footprint from 5 buildings to 2 buildings.
Within 6 months, productivity improved by 10 points, delivery by 20 points, quality defects/unit improved from 10 to 3 DPU’s and cost savings of over $300K achieved.
Dramatic overhead reductions resulted in position being eliminated Nov 4, 2016.

Managed over 10 million sq. ft. at 22 union/non-union sites
Full P&L responsibility for the region, with annual sales of $150M & operating budget of $85M.
15 direct reports, including the 8 general managers of the sites, HR, Engineering, Sales, Finance, Quality, Lean/Sigma and IT.
Achieved dramatic improvements in EBITDA by rationalizing plants, driving up occupancy, reducing energy costs and utilizing Lean techniques to drive out waste.
Grew the top line by over 40% in targeted sites, while profitability in those sites rose from -1% to 20% in 12 months.
Merger with “Versacold” in December of 2010 resulted in reduction of executive staff by 50%
