Role : I was entrusted to do market research on Marketing prospect of DigiSchool in various English medium schools in prescribed territory ( from Baidyabati, upto Guptipara, Katwa & Mogra ). Market survey was done by means of questionnaires administration, with the objective of making people aware of HCL DigiSchool.

During M.Sc [ 23rd May 2005 – 15th July 2005 ]: Cloning of OSBZ8, a bZIP class transcription factor in Rice, and over- expression in E. Coli using pRSET vector

[ Summer Training in Bose Institute ( Dept. Of Botany ), Kol – 9 ]

Role: I was engaged in my 8 weeks project in recombinant DNA technology i.e., cloning of specific gene ( OSBZ8 ) and it’s expression in E. Coli using pRSET vector. I joined the lab of Dr. D. N. Sengupta, Reader in Botany, Bose Institute, where a DBT – funded project was going on to clone cDNA’s OSBZ8 from Rice plants ( lamina ).

Drawing the layout and 3D view of the same for that measured place through kitchen software and mail it to the customer for getting his/her approval for further proceeds.

If he/she approved that, then order each & every cabinets, including panels, stiffner, shelves, hardware packets etc. If not, then, I provide another 2 sets of drawing and if again he/she refused that, then I have to stop the project

After getting approval of those drawing, then I check the BOQ (Bill – Order – Quantity) as per customers need, whether all materials are allotted or not.

Then send all materials & hardwares with the fitter for installation to the customer’s site.

After that I’ve to collect the filled CC – form by the customers, in which Customers give their remarks about the alignment of cabinets ( floor & wall units ) & experience gathered from Godrej Interio during these transaction etc.

Apart from that I’ve to sale The Homes Products ( e.g., Almirah, Sofa, Bed etc., ) & Institutional products ( e.g., Study Table, Chair etc., )

I have to deal with various types (psychology) of customers and do their proper follow up to create new customers referred by them.

Major Decision making:

a.Dispatch decision: Whether ready sarees (after patch patty) should be dispatched or not. I do it according to colour specification & lot wise.

b.Showing defect sarees to our boss, whenever he comes & send those sarees to the operation – specific defect – repairing section, after tagging Job No., design No., and Lot No., so that I can track them.

Problem solving :

a.To setters by providing accounting solutions of un – accounted Jobless sarees.

b.To Karigars so that they can easily obtain net,border, patty.

Computer Job :

a.Entry collected data Challan No. & Date wise from dept to dept in Tally Erp 9.2 platform through “ process”. It exhibits material movement for dept. to dept. Challan No. & Date wise, with proper quantity.

b.Frequently distribute photos after taking photos and hand over the print out to the setter after “ photo shop “ work.

c.Taking back-up of entire production report and send it to the main Office through Tally Platform on daily basis.

Wastage – Management:

a.Monitoring Karigar’s room at every 7 days interval and give instruction to return back excess border, patty, materials to the respective setters; so they can re-use it on further production life – cycle.

b.Monitoring the wastage produced after Tukro sarees production.

Ware-house Management:

a.Taking & maintaining stocks of grey materials ( White Chiffon, Georgette, Chinnon ), Dyed materials ( Dyed Chiffon, Georgete, Dupion, Chinnon etc and give order for both materials prior to totally consumed.

b.Taking stocks of Colours & Chemicals and issue these to the concerned persons with proper inspection.

c.Taking & maintaining stock of Embroidery net, Border, pesting . Issue them to the concerned persons through issuing challan and kept all record in Tally.
