In this role I accurately enter beneficiary enrollment, dis-enrollment requests and other changes requested by the beneficiary into the Center for Medicare Services computer system by accessing it through the website. I have also worked with other co-workers in updating the Enrollment Processor Training Manual, and giving presentations to the Team Lead and Supervisors on specific aspects of the training manual.

In this role, I worked with management to collaborate with two insurance company customers in pursuit of a paperless system. I also, processed applications for insurability, which included but was not limited to, accurately and expediently recording new insurance applications. Ordered and obtained medical exams, conducted telephone applicant interviews and Physicians statements, ordered motor vehicle reports and obtained other correspondence at the direction of the underwriter. I partnered with the underwriter to confirm all the proper requirements were requested and completed in a timely manner. I then composed letters to the uninsurable applicants. I also served as a substitute for the receptionist as needed which included lunch hour coverage.

I was promoted from an Account Service Representative to an Underwriting Administrative Assistant where I accurately and efficiently gathered proposals, collected down payments, motor vehicle reports, ordering as necessary based on standard insurance practices, financials and any other documents the underwriter requested. I issued policies, assuring all the required forms were on the policy. I hand typed the forms as required. I quality checked all garage and RV policies for all proper forms prior to being delivered the customers. I utilized internet based applications to input garage and RV applications into the IBM AS/400 system. I used Keyfile to maintain all policy databases. I maintained the policy printers, sorted and distributed incoming mail for department and helped train new employees. I created sample policies for agents and agencies as requested by management.

I utilized bar code guns to scan merchandise to verify accuracy of order fulfillment prior to inventory shipment to retail stores and distribution centers.
