Project scope

The receiver exciter unit is the interface between Phased array antenna and programmable signal processor unit. It is mounted inside the shelter .Receiver configuration is in the form of three channels, mono pulse, gain phase matched and double conversion super heterodyne type with LNA front end. Receiver down converts the radar waveforms from C-Band to IF and sends to the PSPU. It is capable of conserving the salient characteristics of target echo, strength variations, Doppler phase shift, angle error etc while down converting to IF. The front end receiver is mounted as an integral part of the antenna feed. This unit also generates system timings and controls.

Responsibilities:

Designed the different sub modules like LO& BITE Distribution module, AC-DC Power supply unit, DC-DC Converter module and RF Bite distribution module of the receiver exciter unit.
