PROJECTS ACCOMPLISHED

Reliability Analysis of Mosquito coil

Reliability software is used to calculate the reliability of the product keeping best R Square value in mind.

Divided the whole mosquito coil into equal segments and calculated the design life for the part. Also measured the total length.

Calculated R Square value of all distribution and lognormal is preferred which has the best R Square value.

Assumed to have no airflow, dry condition, kept on non-combustible surface and rate of burning is constant.

Elimination of defects in sand casting process in Flywheel manufacturing company using Six-Sigma DMAIC Methodology

Concentrated mostly in minimizing the percentage of defects in Sand casting process which was achieved using DMAIC Methodology.

Created Structure Project Guide (SPG) which explained about the project scope, business case, possible causes, Pareto and fishbone charts.

Drafter KPIV charts for better performance of output variables like blow holes, core shift and shrinkage.

Calculated DPMO and drafted SIPOC chart for improvising the current process.

In order to find more defects, possible cause list, pareto chart and fishbone charts are designed.

Reduction of defects in Rubber Gloves Manufacturing company using DMAIC Six-Sigma methodology

Focused mostly on the medium sized gloves due to the high demand and more number of rejected products.

Developed an outline of project scope and goal to reduce the defects by 50% in Project Charter. Discussed about customer benefits.

Conducted Pareto Analysis and indicated that the highest rate of defects was caused by leaking gloves nearly 62% of total.

Designed Process Flow Diagram (PFD) for the better understanding of production and formulated Fish Bone Diagram for the cause of leak.

Deduced that oven’s temp and conveyor’s speed was responsible for leak hence reduced to 230 C and 650 R.P.M.

Forecasted the demand and maximized the profit using MRP DSS Project

MRP specific tools were used to determine the overall production batch size and overtime for maximizing the net profit.

Implemented the defined Decision Support System to obtained the maximum overall profit keeping low overtime cost and inventory cost.

Applied regression analysis to create MPS and linked the desired forecasted demand to MRP worksheet using VLOOKUP.

Developed in-depth knowledge of Work in Progress (WIP), Bill of Materials (BOM), Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirement Planning.
