Divisional Health and Safety Manager for MACTEC Engineering and Consulting Company, reducing the Division OSHA incident rate from 4.15 to 2.02 and reducing the lost time incident rate from 0.79 to 0.48.
I managed an Aerospace Plant safety program with no loss time accidents over a 2.5 year period and only one OSHA recordable injury.
Directed the Process Safety Management Compliance Program for the Reynolds Metals Alloys Plant, a facility that employed 2,200 employees and which had seven processes covered under the OSHA 1910.119 PSM Standard. Conducted Process Hazard analysis (What if, Fault Tree, Probabilistic Risk/Safety Assessment) for all Reynolds facilities (25) covered under the Standard. I wrote PSM manuals for the corporation and established a Corporate Construction Safety/Industrial Hygiene Program for Reynolds Metal Company. I wrote a Reynolds Metal Construction Safety Manual that included 69 procedures. I directly managed the Engineering and Construction Safety/Environmental Industrial Hygiene Programs at the Alloys Plant reducing the OSHA incident rate from 20.7 to 1.7.
On a team that conducted a safety awareness assessment analysis of the Alloys facility and a member of a team that installed a Division Behavioral Based Program.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Activities include conducting insurance underwriter’s surveys for insurance company underwriters. These surveys included fire protection, fleet safety, workers compensation, liability and environmental. I conduct safety and environmental training for client personnel. I also, perform consulting work for clients. These duties consist of air monitoring, soil sampling, writing and implementation of health safety and environmental programs. I conduct safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental and DOT audits at construction sites and manufacturing facilities.
Employer: AECOM/URS (AECOM Oil and Gas Division) - September 23, 2014-November 01, 2016
I safety managed a three month two daily shift outage, for AECOM at the BP Toledo, Ohio refinery. The project consisted of updating and preventative maintenance of refinery processes and equipment. I managed a safety team of six safety persons, wrote a dropped object prevention plan, established a heat relief program, wrote and updated AECOM site outage safety procedures, conducted a daily safety meeting for over 200 site contract personnel (AECOM safety meetings were noted by BP as being the best contractor safety meeting during the outage), tracked completion of THA’s and BBO cards. I conducted incident investigations and established an outage safety incentive program. Also, I ensured the BP safety procedures were followed by AECOM personnel. There was only one AECOM OSHA recordable incident during the project and no AECOM lost time incidents
Prior to the BP Toledo, Ohio Refinery project, I was the safety and environmental manager for the Cortez Gas Company pipeline project located in New Mexico. This project consisted of seven sites across New Mexico. This project consists of trench excavation, installation of pipelines and compressor stations. Some of my duties included managing the site safety program, which included site safety audits, conducting morning toolbox meetings, site safety orientation for new employees, completion of crane critical lifts forms and calculations, maintaining site environmental programs, completing Job Hazard Analysis and risk assessments, interfacing with the client safety and environmental person, interfacing with state environmental personnel, maintaining a Behavioral Based Safety program and completion of BHO cards and reports, conducting safety training for site personnel, completion of daily trench and excavation evaluations. This project did not have an OSHA recordable injury or any environmental citation.
Prior to New Mexico assignment, I was the Site Safety, Health and Environmental Manager for the construction of a gas compressor station in Waynesburg, PA. Some of my duties included managing the site safety program, which included site safety audits, conducting morning toolbox meetings, site safety orientation for new employees, completion of crane critical lifts forms and calculations, maintaining site environmental programs, completing Job Hazard Analysis and risk assessments, interfacing with the client safety and environmental person, interfacing with state environmental personnel, maintaining a Behavioral Based Safety program and completion of BHO cards and reports, conducting safety training for site personnel, completion of daily trench and excavation evaluations.
The project was completed without any OSHA recordable incidents and only three first aid cases. Also, where were no OSHA or environmental citations received from and state, local or federal organizations.
