2010-2013 St. Anthony of Padua Church
The volunteer work varied, most of which was mainly setting up for major church events and stay long after the event for cleanup. Some events required to prep food and to distribute among the guests, also helping them maneuver their way around the church grounds and to give more information about the church and the services it provides. As a volunteer for this organization being punctual is important, with that being said volunteers were assigned to various stations across the area. The responsibilities also varied from serving breakfast to breast cancer survivors, helping vendors, decorating the area, handing out water and being in charge of children activities. When the event comes to an end volunteers are expected to clean up any visible trash and dismantle the outside equipment.
Other:
Fall 2014-Fall 2016 Fresno City Symphonic Choir
I began in this class with very basic music skills. As time progressed I found my voice and learned much from them. Being in choir helped me become more team oriented, we must all listen to each other to achieve a more promising sound. We were also responsible for our physical music and attire. The way we presented ourselves is a reflection of the college.
