I am interested in your full-time Medical Assistant position. I am a PIMA student who just finished my externship requirements and I am ready and prepared to work.
Experience
My externship site was Clinical Infectious Disease Specialists, with Dr. Dhaval Shah. I worked with him for 200 hours. My responsibilities included stocking rooms, making and printing patient charts, cleaning rooms, rooming patients, taking vitals, taking chief complaint, giving injections, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, calling patients with lab results, confirming appointments over the phone, faxing documents, and more. I learned to use AdvancedMD and Practice Fusion for appointments, patient information, and patient charts.
Other than externship, I have past experience caring for my grandfather. He was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and needed help with medication dispensed on time. I also took notes during his appointments and kept documentation of his vital signs for his pulmonary specialist.
I also help care for my Autistic nephews (ages 10 & 5).
Education
I attended Pima Medical Institute and completed their Medical Assistant program. I started March of 2016, and finished externship January of 2016.
