Co-founded a 501c3 that is bringing clean water, improved healthcare and educational opportunities to South Sudan.
Drilled a clean water well in a village of 5000+ whose closest clean water supply had been 5 miles away. Disease rates projected to drop by 60%+. Established a Water Committee to ensure proper maintenance and sanitation of well.
Increased student enrollment in village by 100% since commencing education initiatives. Installed solar lighting system on new primary school (P1-P4) making it the first building in the county to have lighting. Launched inaugural preschool to prepare children for primary school. Built a middle school to expand grade levels through P8.
Provided improved healthcare by facilitating monthly medical staff visits. Brought 400 self-adjusting eyeglasses to South Sudan and 300 to Uganda, the first time these glasses were introduced into either country.
Provided 300 portable solar lights to students and the elderly, the first time these lights were introduced to South Sudan.
Built a church that is serving as a community center and will serve as an Adult Education Center. Solar lighting system to be installed which will make it the 2nd building in the county to have lighting.
