Refinery HR Manager – Corporate Labor Relations
Responsible for all Labor Relations activities at the refinery on the Houston Ship Channel.
Company lead in all negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and employee disputes.
2011-2012 Company lead negotiator with United Steelworkers on local issues, and coordinated company activities associated with National Oil Bargaining.
Local negotiations resulted in significant changes to health insurance, pension benefits, and work rules, resulting in annual savings in excess of $10M.

Company leader in labor negotiations (1st and 2nd chair experience), grievances, arbitrations, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) issues. In addition, provided positive employee relations training to maintain non-union status in other areas of the business.
Developed and led an initiative to implement an alternative work schedule (conversion from 8hrs to 12hr shifts), from employee training, upgrading HR software and revising Company policies, to negotiating a mid-term agreement and implementing a permanent cost savings in excess of $2 million per year.
Company lead in HR on the implementation from locally developed HRIS to an SAP platform based network configuration, resulting in year over-year savings and much improved business processes.
