Spending seventeen and a half years in the printing and mailing industry Working for the State and Private sector, I gained the knowledge and experience needed to lead teams and work on projects myself.

Employed with Ricoh assigned to Oregon State Department of Administration, Publishing and Distribution, I have developed and deployed an Automation process for their jobs where a user enters information in a GUI (Graphical User Interface), to process jobs from data import through the Watch Server. This program can handle batch processing, so user can enter multiple jobs and let Visual Basic handle all the processing. Visual Basic program will also email the customer the proof file, if user selected to do so.

Working for Department of Printing before it merge into Department of Enterprise Services, Printing and Imaging, I have for the last fourteen years improved processes for the Printing and Distribution of various documents, newsletters, fliers, brochures, postcards, statements and other print required by our customers. Created various programs to help reduce mistakes with job processing.

I also worked for Apex Mailing services for one and a half years doing much of the same work as with Dept. of Enterprise Service.

.

Having used Microsoft products since Office 95, the last 19 years I used all versions of Microsoft Office and Windows including Office 2016 and Windows 10. Having written VBA (Visual Basic Application) In Microsoft Access to improve data processing which has been converted from Access 95 through Office 2016.

Learning Visio 2013 to map out data processing, so find a better flow from customer to end product.

Started to train in Active Perl and how Visual Basic and Perl can work together to automate jobs further.

I documented the job flow in my area, and created desk manuals for repeating jobs, so that anyone new or old would be able to perform the job duties as needed.

Working with the Olympia BMEU in Tumwater Washington from my Apex Mailing days and also Department of Enterprise Services to provide information and training to co-workers and managers.

Configuring with our programmers help, the IMB (Intelligent Mail Barcode) process to create a unique serial for each of the database our customer sends. The program also allows us to add different mailer ID’s if need be, which helped us pass the full service requirements.

Setting the NCOA Software on the servers provided by our IT department.
