Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of Safety and Environmental Compliance in alignment with local, state and federal standards to include; OSHA, EPA, DOT, DEA, and NYSDEC. I have over 30-years’ experience in Safety, Occupational health (to include industrial hygiene) and environmental compliance.

Directly responsible for the overall management of plant operations from administration to production. Manage the production and batch mixing of more than 13 process mixing tanks and 4 reactor vessels.

Provide oversight and direction in the shipment of more than 100,000 pounds of product daily while managing over 200 separate line items.

Involved in the development and maintenance of the plant Risk Management Program (EPA) associated with Peracedic Acid (PAA) and Hydrogen Peroxide.

As a member of Senior Management, my duties include projecting, scheduling, planning and managing personnel (as many as 500 airmen) in a manner as to ensure environmental compliance and worker safety and health to all industrial and administrative operations.

All data collected is reviewed for potential occupational exposures to chemical and physical hazards. Recommendations for administrative controls and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are outlined and presented in a formal written report.

As a Bioenvironmental Engineering Specialist for 22-years, I was part of a committee, responsible for construction project review (projects over $2,500.00). Our office along with other base agencies (Fire Department, Civil Engineering, Security Police/Law Enforcement…) would review and comment on construction projects as necessary. The team was tasked to visit the construction site at various points in construction coordinating all project matters with contractors on-site to ensure all safety and compliance guidelines are being met. I would personally review the contractor packages ensuring the appropriate training for the task being accomplished is completed. This group met on a monthly basis, reviewing an average of 25 different projects.
