As a Bioenvironmental Engineering Specialist for 22-years, I was part of a committee, responsible for construction project review (projects over $2,500.00). Our office along with other base agencies (Fire Department, Civil Engineering, Security Police/Law Enforcement…) would review and comment on construction projects as necessary. The team was tasked to visit the construction site at various points in construction coordinating all project matters with contractors on-site to ensure all safety and compliance guidelines are being met. I would personally review the contractor packages ensuring the appropriate training for the task being accomplished is completed.
