Key Project Achievements
Project Manager for a 100,000 sq/ft addition at the Waupaca printing facility. This included the installation of a Goss Community printing press, two Kanza inserting lines along with all the auxiliary equipment. This project was completed in 9 months
Developed and implemented a 3 year remodeling plan for the 550,000 sq/ft office building
Replaced gas fired steam generators used to maintain the proper humidity level in the printing facility with a fogging system realizing a $60,000 annual savings on the natural gas bill.
Developed a system to divert the heat being exhausted off of the main air compressors into the warehouse during the heating season and outside during the cooling season. This reduced the natural gas bill by $45,000 annually.
Project Manager for a web width reduction project whereby the printing press underwent major modifications without incurring any production interruptions.
Developed and implemented a building system training program for the maintenance staff so we could reduce our dependency on outside contractors. This resulted in annual expense savings of $180,000. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Inc. 1997-2005
Production/Electrical Engineer
During this time I was one of three project managers that designed and built a highly automated 480,000 sq/ft production facility Total project cost $112,000,000
Approve the design of the electrical distribution system
Approved the design of the building network infrastructure
Project manager for a team comprised of front line workers and managers for selecting all production equipment. Total cost of equipment in excess of $70,000,000
Working together with all equipment suppliers to develop a system integration plan.
Project manager for the installation of the production equipment.
Developed an extensive training program for the maintenance staff to learn all of the latest technologies that were utilized in this production facility.
Developed a transition plan. As the new plant was coming on line we had to find away to keep the old facility running along with exposing the maintenance staff to the new equipment. Key Project Achievements
During the course of this seven year project we missed the go live date by 3 months.
Entire project came in slightly under budget.
Production efficiency goals that were built into the model were achieved within 6 months of the initial startup. Jeffrey J. Goelz 414-***-**** or 414-***-****
