Resume:

Peter Glen, Resume

Intro: I am a Senior software developer with significant experience in the industry. Started out as a hardware engineer, later I switched to software. I acquired experience in fields like compiler writing, code research, algorithm creation / optimization, image recognition and artificial intelligence. As a senior professional with research exposure I am looking for state of the art challenges. My education and experience positions me as a PhD level candidate. Longer version of this resume can be found [here].

Exposure: I have experience in hardware level software, system level code and device drivers. I also have kernel level experience from the pioneer days of Linux. In 2007, I was awarded an official US patent, titled ‘Adaptive Alpha Blending.’ (US 200********) [link] The patent is referenced by thirteen+ multi-billion dollar corporations. (See at the bottom of the Patent page) My experiences and achievements put me at the leading edge, state of the art.

Capabilities: I programmed mainly in C and C++. Also created a significant amount of code in several other languages, including: Python, Java, Basic, Perl, and Assembler, Lex, Yacc/Bison. Over the past decades I have accumulated epochal software development experience. I am familiar with version control, multi-platform development, testing, project management and most aspects of the software life-cycle. In the course of my career I have discovered that I'm a natural problem solver, a curious explorer,.I have extensive experience with Windows development (MSVC, SDK, MFC). Well versed with Open Source software (C, C++, GCC), Linux development, kernel coding. I possess significant background in Mathematics, Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, and Algorithm Development.

History: My most recent (and current) experience involves creating a neural network (ANN) where any arbitrary input can be trained with any arbitrary output. The philosophical underpinning is the strength [and failure] of logic is that it empowers one to explain any possible outcome. Before that, I created a chart of 125 years of temperature plot from an automated sensor reading. Deployed skew free low pass filter (from earlier voice recognition research) The plot contains interesting factoids on Global Warming (or lack of) from many perspectives. The script and data is available as open source. [link]

I also created a Linux Distribution, called Community Linux. The distribution lives on a USB drive, and has full hard drive speed and features. It is open sourced, and can be found on Source Forge dot com. [link] I also worked in the voice recognition field, and created a new state-of-the-art analysis / recognition method. I wrote a graphical medical application (called XrayNotes) for surgery design and drawing. [link] The software was well received in the medical community, it quickly jumped the most desirable in its category. More history in the full resume. [here]

Experience:

• Languages: C, C++, Python, Java, PHP.

• Additional Languages: LEX, YACC, BISON, PERL, ASM.

• Application development, Win32, Android, Linux, Embedded Systems (PSOS, MCHIP).

Publications:

• How to beat the Super Computer. – Article about Hashing.

• Adaptive alpha blending Official US Patent – US 200******** A1.

• Medical / Dental journal article on Feasibility / Cost Analysis of software development.
