Project objectives to streamline warehousing processes in order to pick and
put away finished goods an efficient and timely manner. Current warehouse
processes were undocumented and relied on staff's manual processes. Using
SAP's Warehousing module provided the organisation with International
standards to warehouse management. My role was to apply the organisation's
complex put away strategy into a user exit whenever a transfer order was
raised.

Responsibilities/Deliverables
Project objectives to roll-out SAP through-out Asia Pacific. The aim was to
use international business practice (Best Practice) within the
organization. The new system was to replace the existing satellite systems
that existed with the organization. The warehousing system included a
Carousel with automated arms to pick and put away finished goods. Radio
frequency technology and SAP's Warehousing Module was introduced to help
manage the control of dispatching finished goods within the warehouse and
external sales.

This Organization was in the process of setting up a market place in the
Liquor Industry. Buyers/ Customers would place purchase orders
(requirements). Suppliers / Vendors would raise sales orders. This
transactional activity would be web based and Business connector was used
as go between the web transactions to SAP Transactions. My role on this
project was to create the BAPIs and RFCs.
SAP R/3 version 4.6B - Business connector (BC).
This tool reads in XML files into BAPI structures.
It is a mapping tool similar to Gentran used for IDOCS.
Client required BAPIs and RFCs written to work with Business connector.

B45. All these machines used the IBM SNA network infrastructure.
