WORK EXPERIENCE

● Candlelight Concrete 2005-2015

Owner/operator. Ran a crew of concrete finishers/placers. Mostly residential concrete but around 15 to 20% was commercial. Jobsite preparation, forming, demolition and removal, concrete placing and finishing. everything from brush finish, hand troweled and power trowel finish. Decorative concrete including stamped concrete, colored concrete with design features. Color hardeners and acrylic dyes. Acid staining. Acrylic, urethane, and water based sealers. Trowel down overlays. Exposed aggregate finish.Concrete repairs and patching. Epoxy floors. Walls and suspended slabs.Foundation pours. Concrete countertops both smooth and decorative stamp finish. Parging and sacking. Laser levels and power and rail screeds. Concrete pools both internal concrete bases and pool decks.Lightweight radiant heating concrete floors. Agillia floors.Tilt up slabs. Reinforcing rebar(steel).Framed wood and composite sundecks. Minor home renovations including bathrooms, kitchens, and family rooms. Refinishing of hardwood floors and general maintenance. ● Rolf Susi and Son 2002-2009

Worked for and then with Mark Susi.(Rolf Susi’s son/now owner of company). when working for Mark, placed and finished mostly residential concrete as well as the occasional commercial pour. Screeded concrete, set edges, edged and cut expansion joints. Hand finished and machine power-trawled. After 2004, when doing my own work, I would subcontract one of his two line pumps for my jobs almost every working day. We would pool our resources together on larger concrete pours, both on his and my jobs. We worked well together for many years.

● Artistico Concrete 2005-2009

Subcontracted myself or one or more of my employees out for work. As with a lot of smaller companies, we would pool our resources together on larger jobs. residential concrete finishing duties. sidewalks, driveways and patios etc.

● Calabria Concrete 2002-2004

Placed and finished concrete. Sidewalks,driveways, patios. Basement and lightweight floors. Foundations and walls. Suspended slabs. Commercial power trawled floors up to 20,000 square feet. Decorative concrete stamping and design. Acid stained floors. Concrete repairs. Parging and sacking. Overlays. Screeding, bull floating, hand and power trawled. Stamped and sealed concrete. Concrete cutting, hand finishing etc.

● Queenship Yacht Builders 2002-2003

General framing for high end luxury yachts. Forklift operator. Launched yachts.

● Distinctive concrete 1999-2000

General placer/concrete finisher. One of two lead finishers. Followed behind placing crew to finish concrete jobs.

● McCann Concrete and Company 1989-1997

Started working as a laborer part time in 1987, and then full time in 1989. Learned the trade and became an apprentice finisher. Moved on after 1997 to gain more experience in concrete/construction.
