iSeries/CNC Administrator

CNC Administration duties continued as part of the RAM support team after the iXtend acquisition by Velocity. Worked with Off Shore CNC resources to facilitate around the clock support for clients. Was the iSeries Administrator as part of the transition team moving an iSeries RAM client to the VTS hosting environment. Client support included iSeries log monitoring, troubleshooting, data refreshes, iSeries scheduler and job queue monitoring, CL creation/modification, System IPL, developer and user support. Versions ranged from JDE 8.12 through 9.1 and Enterprise servers AS400 V5R2 to V7R1 and Windows Server 2003 to 2008.

iXtend, Inc 02 / 2013 - 07 / 2013

iSeries/CNC Administrator

CNC activities supporting multiple clients across multiple platforms; Full and Update package assembly/build/deployment, menu/taskview promotions, user provisioning, security and role management, process/procedure documentation, services bounce/restarts, troubleshooting, helpdesk/end user support, worked with MOS to resolve issues as necessary. Data Center responsibilities included IBM HMC, iSeries 720, 520, 810 servers, 3570 Tape Library, backup/recovery, disk management, CL, FTP, EDI, IFS and weekend On Call duty rotation.

Also responsible for all software resident on the AS400 which included JDE EnterpriseOne, Vertex Sales and Use Tax Q Series, Extol EDI Integrator 5.9, and BookMaster/IBS Royalty module. Other duties included Extol EEI Admin (trading 810, 850, 855, 856), backup, recovery, monthly Vertex updates, monthly Vertex tax data exports for Indirect Vertex Sales Tax Returns Q Series. Also, worked closely with JDE developers to build multiple internal/external interfaces between JDE and the warehouse CAPS pick, pack and ship systems, Website Sales transactions, bank PositivePay, credit card processing and book sales royalty processing. Also did cross training for some JDE E1 CNC tasks including project promotion, package assembly, build and deployment for all DV, PY and PD environments, CreateForm project promotions, user provisioning, and security/role changes as well as mixed application user support.
