Summary of qualifications
2010 - Present - Hewlett Packard Enterprise Services Wisconsin
Team Lead Unix Server Build Engineer (telecommute for 3 of the last 5 years)
Brought on board at a local Wisconsin Healthcare support account to migrate AIX servers to HP-UX blades servers
Utilized HP SRP (Secure Recourse Partitions) to isolate the workload, and cap oracle cores to a legal value.
Also created several HPVM servers to utilize untapped resources.
Automated many System Administrator functions, including password management from a central secure webserver.
After 18 months I was promoted to Unix Build engineering group, worked up to lead engineer position after 3 months, became the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for HP-UX Virtualization and Superdome2 technologies
Wrote numerous internal documents on UNIX and Linux build standards, and documented many tips and tricks to share amongst my peers, both on the Unix Build team, and System Administrators that would be supporting the server’s long term.
Recently I was selected to represent the UNIX / Linux technologies on the Architectural Engineering group for the entire US Public Sector Hewlett Packard Enterprises group.
I have been awarded many accolades for going above and beyond for my customers, and my peers.

Data Center Relocation
oImperative to keep all systems running during core hours and maintain clustering capabilities during the move
oClose collaboration with building pre planning to ensure proper cooling and electrical requirements
oMember of a panel comprised of several internal IT groups required to select a computer hardware-moving vendor
oPlanned all transport of hardware down to the day / time of relocation.
oWorked jointly with network group / computer hardware vendors to maintain high availability through the entire data center transition
oOrchestrated each hardware vendor to integrate systems move of HP / Sun / EMC
oDue to strong pre-planning, the bottom line figure came in $300,000 below original budget allotted
Selection and installation of the SAN (Storage area network)
oEvaluated multiple vendor capabilities for Storage hardware
oIntegrated EMC as the storage vendor of choice
oGrew to (3) EMC frames running (40) TB of space
oReduced Oracle backup window from 10 hours down to 3 minutes
Client Server Disaster Recovery
oConsulted with Comdisco to pick only necessary hardware for disaster recovery
oAchieved 100% recovery on first test in 27 of 72 hours allocated
Integrated clustering of production servers
oEvaluated clustering on a test (2) node cluster
oAttained approval of Oracle DBA’s and application managers for clustering of production servers
oExpanded clustering to other vendor’s servers over 4 years
