Project Overview:

The purpose of the Customer Profile project is to capture and provide basic customer information and customer attributes for use in email and online marketing campaigns. Customer profiles will be comprised of customer contact information plus customer attributes such as purchase history, product and brand affinity, response to promotions, and online activity. This information will facilitate marketing outreach efforts such as event triggered email campaigns and targeted online marketing. It will include data enhancements to the CDW for customer returns, promo codes, and Ecommerce product catalog which are needed for customer profiles.

Responsibilities:

Project Overview:

Our team is currently building the data marts to store data from front / back office feeds. I am currently designing the process to load feeds and creating the control dash board framework to capture and report the statistics of the load process (Staging through normalization). The control dash board is used by the users to identify the run statistics at each stage of the load process. The users will be able to identify the data errors at each and every phase at very granular level.

Responsibilities:

Designing and creating the stage load and enhancing normalization process with error handling and control dashboard maintenance for all the front and back office feeds.

Designing and implementing error data mart in star schema model to report errors at granular level.

Designing/implementing the control board dashboard to capture and report input errors at field level.

Created Informatica Mappings to load data from flat files, oracle and Sybase. Use of transformations like Stored procedure transformation, Connected and Unconnected lookups, Source Qualifier, Expression, Sorter, Aggregator, Joiner, Filters, Sequence, Router, Normalizer, rank and Update Strategy transformations.

Project : Support and Maintenance

Role : Entry Level ETL Developer

Project Overview:

Designed and built complex ETL mappings using Informatica which load the Data warehouse with data received from different sources. The program’s main aim was to calculate the Waiver Amount for the BANAMEX accounts based on some prerequisites.

The generic design solution for this architecture was accomplished by loading source systems information to oracle tables using business rules/ETL logic. ETL Development involved creation/ modification of existing Informatica mappings. After pre-processing, the input source feeds gets processed one after another as determined based on the business rules. Primary key constraints and integrity constraints are created as needed. Data Transformation involved validation of the fields, trimming of fields (removing spaces), formatting data, removing the duplicates using Sort Component and calculating the Waiver Amount. After the calculation is done the file is transferred to another system for getting the approval. Once the approval process is completed the data in the response file which is sent by the approval team is loaded to the EDW table.

Responsibilities:

Involved in Onsite-Offshore coordination model in designing and developing the ETL systems

Performed Data profiling, creation of informatica mappings and related DB modules

Application of complex business rules into informatica using components like Lookup, joiner etc.,
