About the Project:

It’s a migration project to replace third party trade processing system with new in house Style product. Style is Computerised systems for matching buy and sells orders of financial instruments, such as equities, bonds and derivatives. After a trade has been matched, usually by a trading system, it is cleared by a Central counterparty (CCP) who stands in the middle of a trade as the buyer to every seller and the seller to every buyer. If either party defaults on the trade, the CCP owns the defaulter’s risk and becomes accountable for its liabilities. During the life of a trade, or that of a portfolio of trades, CCPs process all cash flows and continuously mark the trade or book to market, calling variation and initial margin in relation to prevailing risk of the overall portfolio. Settlement is the process of delivering title to the financial instrument to the buyer against payment to the seller. For equities, this normally takes place three days after the trade. Netted settlement reduces a large number of positions to a single position/payment. Settlement operates both for transactions through a trading system and those completed over the counter (OTC). A custodian or Central Securities Depositary (CSD) undertakes the safekeeping and administration of securities on behalf of issuers and investors.

1. Reduce the order processing cycle time for 400+ Call Center Staff for taking advanced Standing Orders from the IBOs

2. Providing functionality of consolidated shopping carts across all ordering channels

3. Simplify the registration process for IBOs

4. Enable payment interface for IBOs to place orders using Credit Cards

Cobalt: The advanced and intuitive front end to be used by the Call Center Staff to place orders. Creating a UI that translated 90 pages into a SINGLE dashboard type interface to cover 50 complex actions for Order Processing. Processing 2.5 million records pertaining to 30,000 orders within a batch window of 3 hours, including data interfaces to and from IBM AS/400. Analysing over 40 Million Records of historical data for compatibility to new database architecture and approx 99% automated migration through utilities, Two way migration of 1TB of data from legacy system to PPR, Development of front-end to support Japanese Language. Creation of Distributors profiles and then place the order based on the SKU. Team will be able to place two types of orders: SOP and OMP and accordingly benefits will be given to the profile.
