CAREER PROFILE
Project 1:
Title : One Touch Purchasing (OTP)
Client : Anderson Merchandisers LLC, Amarillo
Position : Senior QA Analyst/Lead
Duration : January 2006 – Oct 2016
Description
Anderson Merchandisers (AM) is the leading distribution company in the areas of music, books, videos, and CDs in the US. With headquarters in Amarillo, TX and a network of distribution/return centers in various other locations. The new solution will effectively utilize the information available within the WM database(s) and also provided by various outside vendors to provide better business control. The proposed One Touch Purchasing (OTP) application is one such step towards this goal.
Using One Touch Purchasing (OTP) application, system will enter the titles into AM database, and various outside vendors can upload new titles which can be accepted / rejected by Anderson to provide better business control. Distributions application is predicated on the notion of replacing guesswork with mathematical calculations based on historical Walmart sales and store trait information to determine the no. of distributions for title and sales supply orders. The distribution module, in coordination with the modeling module provides the functionality to do this. Once the distribution has been calculated, the system can then use the title details data as well as any supplementary financial information provided to calculate the title and/or project financial information.
