Currently working as a Scaffolding Coordinator, having a vast experience of 12 years in the field of Access Scaffolding in oil and gas,energy, petro chemicals sectors which include process plants, storage tanks and refurbishment works. Having a broad spectrum of exposure in Annual Maintenance works, TA Shutdowns, and Projects with various clients including QP, Qatar Gas, Ras Gas, Q-Chem., QP Refinery, QAFCO etc and managing a workforce around 200 plus men in peak. My key to success is commitment, man management skills effective planning, and execution with best industry practices, quality control & assurance as well as ensuring high safety standards.

Position Objective

Objective is to work with best work practices, Proper planning, coordination, execution & utilization of the resources. Promoting and establishing culture of safety throughout the operations in our day to day business. Supervise work teams for effective delivery of daily objectives including the control of work hours, overtime to improve efficiency. Review and evaluate technical submittals and drawings from Design Department prior to submission to clients according to required project standards.

Responsibilities - Current Job

Effectively managing multi-disciplinary teams & tasks under one umbrella, professionally operate the project to achieve set goals and objectives through effective planning, execution monitoring, and proper man management. Review all construction reports, forecasting upcoming jobs & planning of resources etc. Maintain customer relations and meet their requirements to their satisfaction.

Other responsibilities include:-

Accountable for overall scaffolding activities & performance, deliverables.

Supervision of all types of scaffolding like independent access scaffolds, birdcage scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, truss out scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, tower scaffolds, hoist towers and loading bays.

Inspects work in progress to ensure that workman ship conforms to specification in according to BS 5973 and BSEN 12811-1.

Responsible for developing methods to promote safety awareness and best practices on the erection, alteration and dismantling of scaffolding throughout in line with present statutory requirements and accepted international practices.

To develop an inspection, tagging and monitoring system of erected, altered and dismantled scaffolding throughout the company projects.

To assess risks on site and make recommendations to responsible personnel to ensure all risk are eliminated, controlled or managed. Prepare procedure for safe stacking and storage of scaffolding material both at sites and stores and ensure its implementation.

To identify training needs, develop, conduct and deliver training on scaffolding.

Supervises the critical activities related to preventive /corrective maintenance of Plant equipment which requires scaffolding arrangement, for insulation/painting/fireproofing and mechanical activities on process equipment’s and pipe lines and also internal refractory services on furnaces and boilers.

Coordinate with team members, analyze & mitigate risks if any, by TBT/LMRA .

Achieving incident/injury-free working environments, maintaining exemplary safety records.

Management of Health, Safety and environment to industry best practice.

Implement ITP and request for witness and approval RAW procedures.

Monitor daily production & report to line management comparing planned vs actual progress.

To conduct site safety inspections, audits, risk assessment & analysis on a regular basis.

To conduct all scaffolding accident and incident investigations in accordance with company policies and procedures to suggest corrective and preventive actions with detailed plan to implement with defined roles, responsibilities and timeframe.

Ensure that all site operations are controlled by safe system of work defined within approved MOS, Risk Assessments, Task Sheet and Procedures.

Resolve day today problems on the job site and Inspect all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Leading, directing and monitoring performance of all site foremen, support staff in the team.

Participate in regular meetings to identify problems, target dates, production, issues, delays execution of work to ensure timely project completion.

Excellent communication skills, computer literate with MS office.

Good knowledge of English, written & spoken

Knowledge of the insulation, painting activities.

Reading of design drawing.

Degree in Arts (BA)

Post Graduation In Journalism and Mass Communication (PGJMC)
