Responsible for establishing the bridge between R&D and production. Created and implemented the worldwide training for all new and updated processes and products. Validated, tested and improved all new products, production software and equipment.

Created and executed the validation plans and protocol for all new production products, software and equipment, before being released into the production environment.

Recorded and documented any errors or issues found in production and submitted ECR’s to the change board for review and approval. Submitted over 150 ECR’s in the last year that improved quality or efficiency in the production process.

Reduced the production documents from 162 to 66 by reviewing all the current documents and removing any obsolete or non-value added process steps and combining any similar documents into one document.

Developed the training material for all new products, software and equipment. Created over 100 training documents and presentations that were released into the production environment.

Trained and certified over 500 operators worldwide on the various production processes and procedures by providing hands on and web based training.

Converted and revamped the technical information from the R&D team into a more structured format and modified the terminology to allow production operators to more easily understand.

Assembled, installed and verified equipment on the production floor. Conducted the IQ, OQ and PQ to verify the equipment runs to specifications. Installed viper machines (SLA), centrifuge, tumblers, UV guns and chambers and modeling software (3shape).

Production Support Manager, 2003-2005

Assisted with reorganizing and expansion of the manufacturing facilities around the world to confirm the product is manufactured and assembled the same way at all locations. Provided support to the operation managers that allowed for improved quality, efficiency and consistency throughout all factories worldwide.

Organized and assembled the factories in Minnesota, China, Singapore and Australia, for over 500 operators. Ensured the layout and work flow was consistent with the other factories around the world that allowed the product to be produced exactly the same.

Recruited, trained and certified over 500 operators on the various production processes. Mentored and coached the operators to follow the processes as written, to guarantee a quality, consistent product was delivered to the customer.

Advised and encouraged new and existing operation managers how to reach the company goals and expectations.

Oversaw the closing and consolidation of the smaller factories and provided support with the transition. Disassembled and shipped the equipment from the closed facilities and trained new operators at the expanded facility.

Production Manager, 1997-2003

Led the day shift manufacturing production department. Monitored and achieved the daily operations goals for TAT, quality and efficiency. Consulted with the night shift production manager to establish ideas to motivate and reward employees that provided a better work environment and a more productive work force.

Managed four supervisors and 150 production operators. Achieved or exceeded the company goals of 500 new hearing aids shipped per day, 250 remake hearing aids shipped per day and 300 repairs hearing aids shipped per day, with a remake/repair rate of less than 8%

Discussed ideas and strategies with the night shift manager that improved the TAT average by one day.
