Title: Increase Productivity of CNC Gas Cutting Machine
Organization: VOLTAS LTD, Thane Duration: 6 Month
Project Details: The aim of this project is to increase the productivity of CNC gas cutting machine. Various parameters were taken into consideration like reduction of loading and unloading time, maintenance of nozzle, standby trolley arrangement, increase the cutting bed-length etc. Our observations revealed the inefficiency in stacking of plates used as raw material. This increased loading-unloading time of machine, in turn increasing idle time of machine. The objective to overcome this inefficiency is to classify sheets of different thickness with respect to preference of frequent usage. We provided the efficient Rack arrangement as a solution to this inefficiency.
