SUMMARY
Specific Areas of Functional Expertise
My background is in Molecular Biology and Genetics, and in time it has expanded into transgenic mice, genomics and enzyme/protein studies. Currently, my expertise covers basic
(Flow cytometry, Southern, Northern blots, qPCR assays and cloning), and new molecular techniques (genomic recombineering), protein analysis (Western blots) and purification
(Histidine tagged proteins on Ni+ column) plus animal studies (transgenic mice production, breeding, genotyping and dissection).
Strengths, Experience & Personal Attributes
Thanks to more than 10 years of experience as a molecular biologist, working in different institutions and environments, I am a confident presenter at Journal Clubs, and can efficiently write manuscripts and prepare posters and presentations for meetings. For the past two years I have led the training of summer students on a regular basis and enjoy the challenge and responsibility.
I have the ability to work well with others and work independently with minimal supervision. I’m perseverant, curious, open to new ideas and concepts and ready to learn new skills. Language fluency: Italian (native proficiency), English (full professional proficiency) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
