Main Duties

• General Management

o Overall Profit & Loss responsibility for the company’s Income Statement. o Budget planning and implementation

o Ensure SLAs and other contracts are managed and contract price adjustments are executed on time o Plan, direct and coordinate all activities of the organization. o Design/Draft/Implement/Evaluate company policies o Plan/Design/Implement/Approve processes for all operations within organization o Implement Profit Margin checks on each transaction

• Cost Control

o Implement strict cost control measures

o Monitor all expenses and compliance with budgets o Design/implement/monitor purchasing processes

o Evaluate suppliers in terms of Price/Performance/Quality o Implement full costing on each item manufactured

• Business Development

o Develop new business in Mining and other industries specifically entering the screen panel supply business in the Global Mining industry.

o Establish and maintain high level relationships with corporate and large customers

• Product Development

o Engage with customers to determine specific needs o Drive new products through design and prototype and test phases o Investigate new processes, raw materials

o Engage with raw material suppliers to develop materials

• Sales & Marketing

o Overall responsibility for all Sales and Marketing activities. o Design/Communicate/Implement sales strategy

o Design and Implement internal sales processes and procedures to ensure customers satisfaction o Direct/Lead high value product and service tender proposals to customers. o Evaluate and approve maintenance proposals/contracts for specific equipment on mineral process plants o Set targets for sales

• Operations

o Overall responsibility for improving productivity and lowering operating costs. o Overall responsibility for improving and modernising production facilities and implementing best practice solutions.

o Design, re-engineer and implement processes to reduce manufacturing lead times o Design/Implement production planning processes to ensure 95% on time delivery o Reduce raw material stock holding and implement just in time supply for same o Design/Implement logistics plans to ensure adherence to customers’ instructions o Design/Implement scrap and waste reduction measures o Design/Implement maintenance program to ensure maximum availability of equipment

• HR

o Design/Draft/Implement/Evaluate/Approve HR policies o Approve all appointments

o Approve all promotions

o Ensure relevance of and adherence to Disciplinary Code

• Industrial Relations

o Establish and maintain relations with workforce through shop stewards and representatives for unionised and un-unionised employees

o Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation

o Overall responsibility for Health and Safety

o Ensure statutory compliance and best practice implementation o Ensure maximum recycling of scrapped products and the responsible disposal of generated waste
