WORK EXPERIENCE :-

1. Cognizant Technology Solutions - From ‘April 2012’ to ‘June 2016’ Designation- Product Specialist.

Brief- In total, I have a full time work experience of 4 years and 3 months with Cognizant, headquartered at New Jersey and a fortune 500 company. In this period, I specialized in core Java technology and a product called “Agency Port”. I worked for a USA based and a Canada/USA based client, both of which are Insurance companies. Details about both the projects are explained below. I also have a 6 months experience of working for an independent project as part of learning the dot net technology.

Clients :

(a)The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. – From ‘Dec 2013’ to ‘June 2016’

>>About the client: The Hartford (a fortune 500 company) is a US based property and casualty insurance company. A 206 years old firm, “The Hartford” is headquartered in Connecticut, USA.

(b) American Automobile Association. – From ‘Sep 2012’ to ‘Nov 2013’

>>About the client: AAA is a North American federation which provides Auto insurance as well as road side assistance to its members who are based throughout Canada and USA. A 114 years old firm, “AAA” is headquartered in Florida, USA.

Some of the responsibilities while working for the aforementioned clients :-

•Interacting with the customer and the business stakeholders to understand the business requirements and propose solutions.

•Doing impact analysis and brainstorming to ensure the feasibility of a business solution and its implications on the existing system. Accordingly, creating document for the change request.

•Doing the design analysis followed by the code changes and functional testing to ensure that the business requirements are met without any unwanted impacts.

•Leading a module in the project. The module was a team of 4.

•Attending and driving connect calls and team meetings involving different teams to make sure that all the stakeholders are in sync with the on-goings of a multi-team requirement.

2. Ducat India. - From ‘Aug 2011’ to ‘Feb 2012’

This was a 6 month training cum project working experience. Learned Dot Net (.Net) technology and successfully implemented the same while working on a project called “Shopmart”.

Current Jobs (on-going along with MBA) :-

1.JMSB MBA Case Competition Club :- Working as the VP External for the club that’s responsible for organizing all the business case competitions at our university as well as recruiting and sending school teams to competitions organized at other universities.

2.Concordia Stingers :- Working part time as event management staff at Stingers- which is the university’s sports and athletics department.

AWARDS, PARTICIPATIONS and RECOGNITIONS :

•Received a merit scholarship of $5000 from Concordia University as part of the MBA entrance awards for the top 1 to 5% of the applicants.

•Won 2nd prize at national level technical symposium “Compsem 2010” organized by my under grad college.

•Represented my under grad college in a national level two day workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Information Security” held at VIT, Vellore (among the top private engineering colleges in India).

•Received a recognition momento for my contributions in the “AAA” project in the year 2013 during my first project in Cognizant.

•Received recognition certificate for good performances in the “The Hartford” project in Dec 2014.

•Selected to represent my high school at All India level Math and General Knowledge test.

EXTRA-CURRICULARS:

•Long experience of organizing programs and events at school, college and company level. While being at Cognizant, organized and hosted the annual celebration event of the project in 2012 and 2013. Managed events of individual budgets in the range of $1million.

•Attained accomplishment in the field of singing, cricket(sport), poetry and acting. Have won several accolades for these activities and performed the same at various stages.

•Got a poem published in a regional magazine during high school days.

SOCIAL/COMMUNITY SERVICE :

•As part of my on-going MBA, attended interview with the university’s community outreach club and got selected to go to Uganda as a graduate intern to work with partner NGO- “CEED”.

•I was an active member of “Outreach”- the community service wing of my ex-employer Cognizant. Have served for the underprivileged children by working on events aimed to identify and promote their talents at various district level schools in cities of Chennai and Pune.

•Under the umbrella of outreach only, I joined hands with Janseva Foundation’s old age home to organize various events and to work for the welfare and happiness of elderly people in Pune city.

•Worked with Unnati Foundation towards environmental sustainability in Maharastra state.

•Actively participated in the famous “Jan Lokpal” bill protest held at New Delhi during August

2011 led by great Indian socialist “Anna Hazare”.
