QC Surveillance inspector. 2013-2016
o Responsible for verifying sub-vendor compliance to purchase order, customer specifications, applicable codes and standards by performing various duties.
o Visual/dimensional inspection of welded fabrication, machined and assembled equipment. o Witness, document and report on NDE testing (RT, PT, UT, MP, PMI and hydrostatic and pneumatic testing). o Review of required sub-vendor documents (NDE, material test reports, weld maps, heat maps, calibration records, sandblast and paint reports hydrostatic charts and refractory dry-out charts). o Ensure compliance to Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), approved WPS and approved procedures. o Refractory inspection (anchor installation, refractory installation, dry-out and hammer testing). o Continual improvement of understanding new designs and fabrication methods of Company and Sub-vendor supplied equipment including but not limited to; Flares (utility, air-assist, ground, high capacity steam, liquid), Burners (process, boiler, incinerator), Piping (fuel, utility, vapor, steam, shop and field installed), Incinerators
(thermal oxidizers, reactors, vapor combustors), Pressure vessels (knock-out drums, separators, liquid seals) Waste heat recovery units and Structural steel (skids, racks, pipe supports, lifting devices, ladders and platforms).
o Issue Non-conformance reports when required.
o Ability to follow referenced codes and standards ( ASME Sec VIII Div-1, ASME B31.3, ASME STS-1). o Maintain good working relationship with customer representatives, Third party inspector, and Sub-vendor shop and QC personnel. Provide guidance and instruction to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Technical Support. 2011-2013
o Assist manufacturing in development of fabrication methods for new equipment designs. o Supervise specific aspects of fabrication on selected jobs. o Operate and train others on the use of forming equipment (plate rolls, pipe bender, press brake). o Company Welder Training Program instructor. Training and mentoring lower level welders to pass higher level welder qualification test.
o Conduct hydrostatic testing (non-destructive and destructive) when required.
