Projects:

Final Project Name: MPLS Cloud Network Design

Operating System: UNIX and Windows Professional/XP/07

Description: The project was based on building, testing, analyzing, and final result of the MPLS cloud network designed for the client. The goal of this project was to connect the three offices located in three different cities. The network was robust, featuring Voice over IP (VoIP) technology, a state-of-the-art firewall, enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), Cisco catalyst 4948 switches and four strong Cisco 2851 routers. The routers involved utilize both OSPF and BGP as routing protocols in order to properly route traffic across the network. The routers communicate via Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) to facilitate MPLS connectivity. It featured a website located inside the firewall to allow access to outside telemarketing employees and customers to obtain information and place orders.

Project Name: Temperature Control System

Language of Implementation: Assembly

Description: The project demonstrated a closed loop temperature control system using the silicon lab development system. A large metal plate with thermoelectric devices used as heating/cooling elements to regulate the temperature of the plate. Temperature sensors located at various points on the metal plate were read by the 8051- microcontroller on-chip converters. A 16 key keypad was used as an input device to set the temperature. The microcontroller calculated the difference between the set point and the sensor outputs to control the voltage drive to the thermoelectric devices by pulse-width-modulating (PWM) the output. An LCD was used to display the controller temperature.
