Genesis Support system is the e-commerce platform based on MVC, APS.NET for US major e-commerce office supplies store. Genesis Support System aims to provide support to the web sites developed over the Genesis platform predominantly using Microsoft Technologies (.NET, SQL Server, etc.). Fourteen such functional websites built over this platform and rolled out to different business units in US and Europe.

Description:

Demand Planning Replenishment is the primary system for Merchandising planning at US Major Retail store to maintain Forecast and Plan inventory orders. This system was developed in Two Phases with one year gap between each phase. This is MVC based application developed .Net and DB2 as backend. This is used to do Planning and Forecasting can help to predict demand. By analyzing historical demand data for each product, the solution can automatically apply the algorithm that will produce the most accurate forecast result.

A Business Partner (BP) is created within the BPM system to represent the business partner’s total perspective of how they are positioned within the retail industry. ATG Rewrite is the rewrite of existing BPM application which is in ATG Framework and Repository DB Interaction to Spring Framework and migrated from Stellant content to SharePoint 2010.

– Develop an assortment analysis tool that generates ranked list of assortment and reporting to support cluster/store level review. Develop a “FIT” application & business process to integrate assortment analysis and POG (Prospace) information.

– Develop an assortment analysis tool that helps to create an assortment request based on predefined selection criteria

– View the Sales historical metrics for the assortment request selected.

– Ability to Perform Future Forecast Analysis at the Chain, Cluster Group and Cluster Levels.

– Ability to add new items, model items and exclude Non-Carry forward items from Assortment

Description: The scope of this project is to improve the efficiency of Planogram save process by converting the existing VB application into .net and introducing concepts such as multithreading. Several windows based applications are developed in order to load and save the Planogram.

System Enhancement 1:

– The purpose of this project is to eliminate the SQL Server dependency on Deferred Save process for BOM & AFC Calculations

– Primary advantage is that the SQL Server tables are eliminated. Time consuming logic involved in concatenating the attributes of Prospace objects (for all Prospace objects) and splitting it again in SQL Server stored procedure is eliminated.

– Time consumed in round trips (involved in executing a stored procedure and returning null record set for non-existing fixture types of the planogram) is eliminated.

– The new design comprises of calculating BOM only for those fixtures that exist in the Planogram.

System Enhancement 2:

– The purpose of this project is to eliminate the prospace dependency on Deferred Save process.

– Time consuming logic involved in concatenating the attributes of prospace objects (for all Prospace objects) is eliminated and the Data are queried from DB2.

– Multithreading Concept is Introduced in Db2Flat (Application To load Planogram from Prospace)

System Enhancement 3:

The DICADS (Digital Image Capture and Delivery System) application speeds up the process of transferring documents among different geographic locations with high security based on the Barcode present in the Document. This Process involves Scanner scans the documents and releases to Quality Checker the QC checks for the quality of the scanned images and releases to the network channel depending upon the Barcode Present.

The channel delivers the images to the destination MQ. The Destination is Message Queue which is running in the AIX Box. Listener Program which is developed in Windows Services picks up the message from the Queue, process it and put it in a File Server. These images will then scan by Telefrom (ICR/OCR) System. The data from the images will be extracted by Teleform and Updated to Database and Status of the Request is Changed to Ready. The Data from the Images and the Image will be displayed in the Separate web application. This application will be used by the Data Entry Operator will use this web application to Validate the Data by verifying the Images displayed.
