Ensure the equipments are functioning and manned appropriately with the governing national and international regulations.

Conduct of GMDSS exams (written and orals) in India at various examination centres.

Conduct of orals and written examinations of nautical stream examinations.

Port state control inspections of the ships calling the ports within the assigned maritime districts.

Statutory survey of ships
