NATIONAL ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL COMPANY LIMITED (NETCO) is an engineering design company. BACKGROUND: The Gbaran Ubie Integrated Oil and Gas Project, aims to develop gas reserves for supply to NLNG and the local domestic gas market in order to meet SHELL Nigeria commitments to these stakeholders. The first phase of the project has installed a Central Processing Facility (CPF) with a gas dehydration capacity of 1050 MMscf/d, an oil/condensate delivery capacity of 120,000 bpd and associated gas compression capacity of 180 MMscf/d. The CPF is linked by a network of pipelines and flow lines to several remote manifolds and well sites. The Gbaran Infill Project is primarily aimed at sustaining gas supplies to NLNG and support future domestic gas markets from the Gbaran Node. In order to meet this objective, the Gbaran Infill Project will construct facilities to develop additional reserves through nine (9) new NAG wells (1 well in the Gbaran field, five (5) wells in the Koroama field and three (3) wells in Epu) and completion/hook-up of the Koroama-002 well”

Project: FEED for Provision of Engineering Consultancy for NIGERIAN PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY (NPDC).

Position: Project Controls Engineer

BACKGROUND: The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) intends to carry out an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) Project for its Flow station and a Gas Handling Facility (GHF) to handle its production from the field and pass same through a LACT custody transfer unit in compliance with statutory regulation and also compliance with Federal Government directive on flare out. The field is currently located in OML 65 which belongs to NNPC and is being operated by NPDC. The field is currently producing about 10,000 BPOD and is being processed at SHELL Utorogu flow station, about 8 kilometres from the field.

DUTIES:

1. Prepares budget, reviews and controls the cost as per the approved work programme and budget, as well as its adjustment in process of project execution.

2. Prepares / reviews cost estimates including but not limited to technical service, equipment and materials procurement / EPC contracts.

3. Prepares cost forecast and value of completed works by obtaining cost information from Site Manager and other sources.

4. Communicates with relevant departments (planning engineers, engineering design and cost estimation team, contractors, etc).

5. Identifies and addresses potential cost risks elements to Project Management Team.

6. Prepares project cost reports.

7. Coordinates with Planning and Finance Dept on budget issues.

8. Develops generic projects cost structure and cost account codes directory under standard work breakdown structures for projects.

BACKGROUND: The project involves the FEED and detailed engineering design of a Condensate Stabilization Unit (CSU) to be installed as part of Train 5 of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Plant at Bonny Island.

DUTIES:

1.Technical Evaluation of Bids and writing of bid summary report.

2.Preparation of data sheet for all equipments.

3.Preparation of Equipment list.

4.Preparation of deliverable list and man-hour estimates

Position: Trainee Mechanical Engineer (Internship)

BACKGROUND: SHELL Nigeria has different flow stations in the Eastern division of Nigeria Which Includes Belema, Ekulama 1&2, Santa Barbara, Nembe and Soku Ekulama flowsatation is designed to handle about 15,000-bbls/d capacity. The facility is made up of three Separators, High Pressure separator operating at 200-300 psi, Intermediate pressure operating at 100-200 psi and Low Pressure Separator operating at 50-100 psi. It also comprises Oxygen desorption tower, Free Water Knock-out vessel, heater treater and surge vessel etc. The flow station has the following rotating equipment:

Gas turbine engine - as a driver for the generation of electricity for the flow station. Caterpillar engine shipping pump (-G342) - as a driver of the pumps for the transportation of crude oil from the storage tank to the forcados Terminal. Caterpillar engine water injection pump - for the injection of water into wells for secondary recovery. It is also used for disposing effluent water from the skim pit. Caterpillar engine gas compression - this is used for secondary recovery of low-pressure wells. Chemical injection pumps - for injection of chemicals into pipelines for emulsion break-up, corrosion Inhibition e.t.c.Electric motor pumps - for pumping fluid from the skim pit back to the production station.

DUTIES:

1. Involved in crude treatment (chemical injection) in Ekulama 1&2 Flow stations.

2. Involved in the control of the operation Lines through the control panel in Santa Barbara Flow station.

3. Carried out technical reports on maintenance of Santa Barbara flow station.
