Project Summary:
siWorker is a replacement for the Report Generator/Actuate components that is designed to handle commodity CSV, PDF, XLS/XLSX files without costly Actuate licenses. The siWorker is a Java/Spring Integration application that uses configuration (metadata) to define a report rather than coding in VBA as is done with Actuate now. The siWorker processes run in parallel to the Report Generator/Actuate processes and in time will completely replaces the Report Generator/Actuate processes.
The Report Generator system is responsible for coordinating the batch report generation for the Prime Brokerage at the bank. Its main responsibility is to create the reports for each business day, verify if the data is available for each report, and then coordinate the report generation with the system Actuate for batch reporting. An additional responsibility of the Report Generator is to coordinate the report distribution such as Email, FTP, SFTP and Fax.

Project Summary:
The U.S. Patriot Act requires that financial institutions have an ongoing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program to monitor, detect, and investigate potential money laundering activities. This project is being undertaken to provide an automated enterprise-w ide solution to identify, monitor, and report suspicious financial activity. Terrorist financings and money laundering are two major types of suspicious activities to be identified. The source data is loaded in to the AML-IF database. As part of AML surveillance, AIS (Actimize Intelligence Server) using the AML module (collectively "Alert Engine") will apply multiple techniques, including its built-in intelligence and customizable scenarios to monitor and detect unusual financial activities. Any unusual activity will be flagged as an alert and worked in the RCM (AMLCase Manager).

CVS Caremark is an outcome of the various mergers over the period of time. Each merger brought along with them their own claim adjudication system. It has the claim adjudication system RxClaim based on AS400, RECAP based on the MVS Mainframe, Quantum Leap (QL) based on Mainframe. It has CDW and ZEUS data warehouse environments on DB2 UDB databases running on UNIX platform. Since every merger and acquisition has brought a new adjudication system to a new Data warehouse system, it has become very difficult and expensive to maintain multiple systems. In order to optimize the performance and to provide the efficient and effective services to the various client applications, CVS Caremark has decided to migrate some of the data warehouses.
