EXPERIENCE

Johnson & Johnson/Boston Scientific/Guidant 1981 - 2001

Sales Sales Trainer

•I worked my way up to sales trainer and sales management.

•I was promoted back to Jacksonville, Florida in 1985 as a Regional Manager covering 7 states.

•In 1989 I went to work with Scimed who is now under the Boston Scientific Umbrella.

•I was a sales representative who came in a gained huge market shares with the early balloon catheters for coronary angioplasty.

•In the 1994 through 1996 I worked with a couple of venture capital start-up companies that

eventually sold to larger companies.

•I had stock options in each case and did quite well.

•In 1996 I went to work with another start-up that was the first company to introduce the first automatic external defibrillator.

•They eventually sold out as well.

•In 1997, I was rehired with Scimed-Boston Scientific and worked the Atlanta market until 1999, until a job in Jacksonville (my hometown) opened with Guidant, and I was able to get back home to my family.

•I retired from medical device industry in 2001.

•That is when I began Jacksonville Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in early 2002.

•Owner and Operator of the first and one of the largest BJJ facilities in North Florida. Responsible for all facets in running a business with over 150 students. Recruiting, teaching, hiring, payroll,etc. A hobby that became a job, where I could use my education and entire skill set to make a very profitable business.

•Affiliated with the Legend Rigan Machado

•Have trained with the greatest in the world: Royce Gracie, Rickson Gracie, Rigan Machado, Rorion Gracie, and dozens of others

•Trained in Brazil on two occasions for weeks at a time

•Founder and trademark held for Kid-Jitsu®
