Resume:

*. Summary:

A mechanical engineer with * years of industrial and research experience in mechanical design and CFD analysis of manufacturing processes, including casting processes, injection molding, porous media flow, and hydraulic systems. Permanent resident of the United States, and seeking an engineer position in industry.

2. Skills:

•CAD skills: Designing and modeling in AutoCAD®, SOLIDWORKS®, and Pro/E®

•CFD analysis: Adept at FLOW-3D®, proficient in FLUENT®, STAR-CCM+®, and DuMuX®

•Programming: Developing CFD codes and subroutines for CFD software in MATLAB®

•Casting analysis: Mold filling, solidification, and stress analysis of casting process using MAGMASOFT®

•Other skills: Proficient in performing simulations on Linux and Windows systems

•Languages: Chinese (native)

3. Professional Experience:

Researcher, Technical University of Denmark, Copenhagen, Denmark Sept. 2012 – Dec. 2016

Project 1: Manufacturing Aluminum Syntactic Foams (ASFs)

•Designed and simulated the manufacturing process to produce new lightweight material-ASFs by infiltration method

•Produced ASFs by infiltrating liquid aluminum into preforms made of ceramic microspheres on high pressure die casting (HPDC) machine

•Developed CFD codes in MATLAB to simulate the manufacturing process for comparison

•Tested the mechanical properties of the products and optimized manufacturing parameters

Project 2: CFD modeling of fluid flowing through porous media

•Performed CFD simulation in FLOW-3D to predict microscale flow through random packings of spheres

•Carried out post-processing and data analysis in MATLAB to calculate physical properties of the porous media

•Produced the porous media by sintering ceramic microspheres with a variety of packing parameters

•Proposed semi-empirical equations to relate physical properties to packing parameters

Foundry Assistant, FAW (First Automobile Works) Automotive, Changchun, China Apr. 2011 – Jun. 2011

•Designed aluminum gearbox housing and produced them on high pressure die casting (HPDC) machine

•Examined the defects and evaluated the quality of the products

•Performed CFD simulations of the manufacturing process with MAGMASOFT and FLOW-3D and predicted the defects of the castings

•Optimized the mold and casting parameters to minimize the appearance of casting defects

4. Education:
