Resume:

Objective:

To acquire a full-time position in an organization where I can develop professionally and personally while contributing significantly to the organization with the best of my ability.

Education:

Michigan Technological University, Houghton MI [Expected Graduation: December 2016]

Master of Science in Mechanical engineering. (GPA- 3.76/4.0)

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, INDIA [May 2014]

Bachelor of technology in Aeronautical engineering. (GPA- 7.2/10)

Computer/Technical Skills:

Modelling software: CATIA, AutoCAD, NX, Pro-E, Solid works, ICEM CFD.

Simulation software: ANSYS, CFX, Fluent, COMSOL, LabVIEW.

Master’s Thesis [August 2015 - current]

Redesigned the present heat exchanger and built mathematical models for the current heat exchangers design and improved design using data from experiments.

Industrial experience:

Bharath Heavy Electricals limited (BHEL) Hyderabad, INDIA. [March – April 2013]

First-hand experience on the manufacturing of Gas turbine engines for industrial use.

In-depth study of Ducting systems for Gas turbines to improve the safety and efficiency.

Projects:

CFD on solid and serrated radial fin tube.

Using NX, a small section of solid and serrated fin tube was designed.

ICEM-CFD was used to mesh the 3D model and ANSYS Fluent was used for analysis.

Using the results, a detailed report was prepared as to how the two fin tube designs change the flow and why they were used in their specific roles.

Combined Cycle Gas Turbine.

Authored a white paper on Combined Cycle Power Plant.

Performance analysis of lateral jet.

Designed a rocket body, in collaboration with Bharath Dynamics Limited (BDL), using CATIA.

Using ANSYS CFX, effects of the lateral jet were determined and based on the results few issues were addressed.

Radio controlled Aircrafts.

Designed two basic aircraft bodies, one with large wingspan for efficiency at high altitudes and second with short wing span for maneuverability.

The model aircrafts were built with Styrofoam and polyurethane glue which made our model extremely affordable compared to similar models in the market.

Have been recognized by the college administration and new “Basic Designing Workshop” was conducted under my supervision.

Radio controlled Hovercraft.

Participated in a technical fest conducted by IIT Bombay with a Hovercraft constructed using recycled materials.

Leadership:

Graduate student supervisor at Van Pelt and Opie library.

Organizer for the national level technical fest in Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology (MRCET).

Lead the team building the Radio controlled aircrafts.
