Designed a large scale brewery process flow diagram in Aspen using multiple separation towers capable of producing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages o Placed in the top of the class for the competition by achieving over $50K in savings (20% increase in process efficiency) over the other competitors o Developed multiple pipeline P&IDs in Microsoft Visio o Worked with three (3) vendors to obtain estimate pricing for equipment and sizing specifications
American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE), Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society CAREER SUMMARY
Production/Processing Manufacturing Engineer Co-op Ecolab Jun. 2015– Dec. 2015
Chemical Reaction Replication
o Performed a series of small scale batch reactions in a laboratory setting to identify the root cause of reaction failure worth approximately $750K of clean up and downtime o Identified root problem at another Ecolab plan and developed process improvements that would result in increased capacity of millions kg per year
o Resolution of raw material issues and analysis of real time processing data optimized and reduced reactor downtime by at least 40%
Pump Installation Project
o Coordinated three (3) pump installations into the polymer unit
Mechanical Filter Installation
o Identified, recommended and implemented the use of a new filter increasing efficiency. Resulting in savings of at least $16K per year
Standardized and organized entire plant’s chemical database which lead to the identification of potential savings o Implemented new process and chemical database allowing for full visibility of equipment and chemicals in the plant
o Collaborated with 6 seasoned engineers and 3 contractors to complete various projects
