Summary
I have 6 years of experience with the public, including cashier experience as well as retail sales experience. I began
working as a part-time, summer-only employee at Roses. I then moved on to work at John O's BP, which is a
convenience store/gas station.
I began employment with Furniture Liquidators in March of 2014, with no sales experience at all. I very quickly learned
the merchandise and
DOS computer system and learned how to effectively approach and re-approach customers who were shopping around.
Shortly after, in September of 2014, I was promoted to Floor Manager. Some responsibilities included: Managing other
sales staff in absence of Store Manager, handling customer service issues and directing calls to service department,
making sure I was able to process payments, run credit applications for finance companies, and keep floor merchandise
orderly and properly tagged with pricing.
In June of 2016, I was again promoted, this time to the Store Manager. As the store manager, my responsibilities were
considerably the same, although I was then responsible for making sure staff was on time, taking care of any disciplinary
action(s), making out the work schedule, and making sure I attended any and all manager meetings practically every
Tuesday morning in Fairdale, KY, to learn about any upcoming high-impact sales.
Skills and experiences include: Cash handling. Management. Time Urgency. Purchase Order Inquiries. Follow-up
delivery calls to customers. Finance questions/options.

Professional Development
I have not had many different jobs/careers in the years that I have been working. All my jobs have been in retail, dealing
with the public as #1 priority. At my first job I was learning a lot of responsibility, as far as making sure I was on time,
wearing appropriate work attire, and handling finances daily. I had first trained as a cashier, and was also responsible for
straightening the department that was assigned to me daily. I developed from a shy, unknowing teen, to a responsible
store manager at a wonderful family-owned company. I grew in many ways, such as becoming more responsible, being
able to mentor and train other staff members, taking advice and learning how to better myself as a manager, and learning
how to react in certain scenarios or situations.
Personal
I have a very strong work ethic, and very headstrong. I am passionate about my career goals and wish to continue down
the same path to success I was once on. I have three wonderful girls, which is where all my drive comes from. As a
single mother, I strive to be the best I can be, to be a great role model for them, and show them that anything is possible
if you set your mind to it and work hard!
